In major oil, gas, and petrochemical facilities, the reliability of every maintenance decision rests on the quality of equipment master data in SAP. What We Delivered

• Conducted detailed OCR on technical documents including vendor datasheets, equipment indexes, tag registers, master lists, and other records, which consists of any low-resolution scans or containing handwritten notes, by using high-accuracy OCR tools tuned specifically for engineering content.
• Performed thorough QA/QC on all OCR output through systematic line-by-line review and correction of every result to eliminate misreads, formatting errors, and unrecognized characters before extraction began.
• Applied expert engineering judgment during properties mapping, accurately assigning hundreds of technical attributes (material specifications, design pressures and temperatures, driver details, dimensions, serial numbers, etc.) to the precise fields and characteristic classes in the client’s SAP Equipment Characteristic Templates.
• Executed comprehensive QA/QC on the final extracted and transformed data through multi-layer validation against original sources, structured reconciliation checks, and client witness reviews, achieving 100 % acceptance with zero critical discrepancies.

The final deliverable was a clean, structured, and fully traceable dataset that was ready for seamless upload into SAP Plant Maintenance, effectively transforming previously inaccessible records into an instantly usable digital foundation. Figure 1 provides a summarized overview of the end-to-end process workflow.
